I got into the EV space early — planning, building, and operating a major automaker's public and residential charging network across Japan. That meant site selection, construction management, contractor negotiation, and launching a nationwide home charging program from scratch. Over six years, I delivered 24 fast-charging locations and 100+ destination charging sites.
From there, I moved into the startup side as COO of an EV charging company focused on apartment buildings — one of the hardest segments to crack in Japan. I built the operations from the ground up, grew revenue to over ¥420 million annually, expanded to 146 multi-family locations, and managed a 20-person cross-functional team across sales, engineering, and software.
Currently, I'm working with a major charge point operator in Japan through accelerator programs, helping unlock new business opportunities for multiple stakeholders across the EV ecosystem. I'm also working with a major automobile manufacturer on EV solutions — connecting the dots between infrastructure, technology, and the people who make decisions.
