The Short Version

I'm Sho Nakashima — born in Kyoto, raised between cultures, now based in Tokyo with my wife and newborn. I've spent the last decade working across industries that have nothing obvious in common: recording studios, EV charging startups, creative businesses, guitar studios. It was never planned. But all of it connects.

I teach guitar, build content, run operations for creative businesses, and consult on EV strategy through MS CREATES. The thread through all of it is the same: helping people and ideas get heard.

Recotone is where it all comes together. Right now it's a brand, a newsletter, and a collection of services. Where it's headed is a physical space in Tokyo — a cultural cafe where music, recording, conversations, and human connection happen under one roof. That's the real goal.

レコトーンは、音楽、クリエイティブビジネス、そしてEV業界を横断する中島翔のパーソナルブランドです。異なる世界が交差するところに、最も面白い仕事が生まれると信じています。

What Drives Me

Cross-Pollination

The best ideas come from combining knowledge across industries. What I learn in the EV space informs how I think about creative operations, and vice versa.

Bilingual by Default

Operating in English and Japanese isn't just a skill — it's how I think. I bridge communication gaps that most people don't even see.

Systems Over Hustle

I'd rather build a system that works while you sleep than grind through the same task every week. Sustainable beats heroic.
